Vector for iPhone is a free running game based on the art of Parkour. The player’s character is supposed to represent a free soul trying to break away from the hold that society has on him. Throughout each level he is chased by someone trying to bring him back to the world he is attempting to escape. The gameplay is simple to learn, yet very challenging to master, making it a great game for both novice and veteran gamers alike.

The idea is simple; don’t get caught. Running happens automatically while players perform Parkour moves over and under various obstacles by sliding one finger up, down, or forward on the screen. These moves must be executed at the right time in order to get over the obstacle without losing speed and getting caught. For example, if there is a desk in the way and a jump is performed too early, the character may stumble, giving the enemy time to catch up to him.

There are a variety of Parkour moves to unlock and perform. These include the jump tumble, spinning vault, thief vault, and many more. In each level, these moves must be unlocked by swiping up at the precise moment the character passes over the symbol. Also, additional moves must be purchased with coins collected in each level. Of course, more coins may be acquired faster by making an in-app purchase.

Based on how many special moves were performed and coins were collected, players are scored out of three stars. Each additional level requires that a certain amount of stars are achieved before they become unlocked.

The gameplay is absolutely fast, fun, and exciting. The controls allow one finger to be used, making it very easy to pick up and play. Additionally, the graphics, animations, sound, and music all add to the engaging style. This is one of those addicting games that keeps players coming back for more. I highly recommend checking this one out. There is a free version to try before you play, so there’s nothing to lose.
