Tractor Trails is a well designed and fun spatial puzzle game. Players have to carefully navigate a field in order to plant as many trees as possible, all while trying to not block their own path. The large amount of levels really makes this app a good deal for the price.
The goal of Tractor Trails is to plant as many tree and to collect as much corn as possible. Trees are automatically planted behind the trailer and players control the movement of the tractor by swiping their finger. The tractor will move in a straight line until it reaches the end of the path. The trick is choosing the correct paths in the right sequence in order to plant trees in all of the spots and collect the most amount of corn. Since trees are automatically planted behind the trailer, the difficultly is not blocking a path that is needed for the future. When there is nowhere else to move, the level is over. In order to get 3 stars on a level, players have to complete it within a certain amount of time.
The in-game store has a lot of interesting and helpful items and upgrades, such as increased speed and an undo option. The corn collected on each level is used to purchase the items and upgrades, and more corn can be purchased for real money.
This app has 130 levels and the more advanced levels can get pretty large and complex. One feature that is really neat is the availability to view stats, such as total trees plants and the number of birds that have been startled. There are plenty of achievements and the app integrates with game center.
In summary, Tractor Trails is a fun spatial puzzle game with a lot of levels to play. It’s a solid casual game and is perfect for killing a few minutes.
