Thinking through a problem and coming up with a solution isn't always that easy. Often, the basic core to an issue is easy to figure out, but it's working out the steps to get to the solution that easily confounds. Enter TickleMeThink; an app keen to simplify the process by giving users some great methods to spark their brain's creative energy.

Easy to use, the app gets right into the main crux of the problem. All it asks for initially is to define the problem. It can be anything from trying to think up Christmas present ideas, working out how to pitch a business proposal, or even something creative like a story idea. TickleMeThink doesn't place any restrictions, so it's easily adaptable to different scenarios.

Once the problem has been added, it's then a matter of brainstorming for ideas. TickleMeThink offers six different methods in which to think things through. There's the choice of phoning a friend, opening up the user's contacts list, as well as the option of conducting a web search for relevant ideas.

More intriguing are the other categories. Hit the "Visuals" button and TickleMeThink comes up with some random imagery, asking the user what it makes them think of. An "Action Verbs" area does a similar job with words rather than images. Alongside that is a fairly inspirational quotations section, reminding users of some classic lines from significant figures as well as motivating them to work efficiently. Finally, there's a "Jolts" section, coming up with some key questions to get the gray matter ticking. It's a simple concept but those nudges really can help with encouragement, as well as inspiration. With plenty of random options, no one should be short of some ideas.

For $3, TickleMeThink could really go a long way to getting one thinking about a problem more intelligently. While some things could be done without the aid of this app, it's a handy jolt to the system, and one that should prove particularly useful to creative minds.
