TapDo does quite a bit right, but it still lacks an easy way to customize and some much needed feature additions. With some love, TapDo can be great.

TapDo has a lot of potential as a well designed task manager that provides quick entry and easy to use input. There are a significant number of issues that need to be addressed before it can really stand out as a task management app though.

TapDo provides a fairly steep learning curve for adjusting options, but pre-programmed entries provide a good tool to use as an example. To effectively use TapDo, users must take the time to really cater the settings to fit their lifestyle. I found the examples provided to really fail to meet any part of my planning needs. Once programmed though, TapDo was much more usable overall. Programming the app is an extensive undertaking though.

To further complicate the situation, there is no easy method to add custom tasks without added effort. Rather then just allow for individual inputs for each task, users must customize categories for the task to fit inside. This adds to the difficulty for users to interact with this app right out of the box.

One of the nice features of this task oriented app is the searching and sorting features. Daily, already completed, and overdue items can all be searched, and entries can be sorted by date, priority, or group. New entries, once the app is fully customized, can be completed in no time at all.

Overall I would say that this app is an OK first shot, but automatic date input, an easier customizable interface, and more detailed examples would provide users with some much needed enhancements. I've not really found a task manager that will really fit my needs quite yet, and as we get closer to the new addition in the family, it's becoming more and more something I am looking into. In it's current iteration, TapDo isn't that app, but I have hope that it has the capability to step up with a little attention.
