For regular internet users, memes are quite fun to dabble in. Any visitor to an internet forum or chatroom will have seen many images linked that range from a rabbit with a pancake on its head to Heath Ledger's Joker questioning 'Why so serious?'. It's all pretty light hearted and a fun way of getting a point across without always using text. One such popular meme is that of the RageGuy,a very angry character whose life clearly doesn't go very well. Many examples are already out there of comic strips made of his frustrations but how about making new ones? Rage Comic Generator provides the means and it's pretty easy to create some fun cartoons.

Loading up the app presents users with a choice of size and number of panels. That's almost as complicated as it gets, as everything else is a bit more obvious and user friendly. A huge number of meme images are already included, 240 in all, which should account for all tastes and situations, even if I did find myself leaning towards basic RageGuy.

Options are then available for adding drawn images and text to each panel. Other basic editing features such as the option to enlarge images, rotate them or even flip them, keep things simple yet effective.

It'd be easy to spend a very long time creating comics from Rage Comic Generator. At first, it'll look like the depth of the app isn't great but the sheer number of memes open up the possibilities hugely. Instead, it begins to feel almost overwhelming and a template feature would have been useful.

Users will want to spend time perfecting their creations also as it's easy to share the content. E-mail and Twitter use is there, as we'd expect from any app these days. What's pretty cool though is the option to submit to Reddit from within the app. It's a great way to share content with a wider audience.

I felt more comfortable using Rage Comic Generator on an iPad rather than an iPhone, purely because of the screen space, but it still works effectively on the iPhone. The Universal nature of the app makes the choice easy for multiple iOS devices users anyhow.

For the minuscule price, Rage Comic Generator is an excellent tool for regular internet users to communicate their feelings and maybe once in a while vent their rage.
