E! Online Review

Like many others, celebrity gossip is a great guilty pleasure of mine. The E! website and TV channel have always proven to be a great source of knowledge about which celebrity is dating who and who's got a new show coming out, so I was hopeful that the E! Online app would provide similar.

It does, indeed. With glossy visuals throughout, it's very easy to browse the app and stories are clearly laid out for users to find easily. Features such as a wrap up of the weekend's news are there on the relevant day, along with larger features of gossip devoted to topical subjects. One such feature at the moment is that of what sport various celebrities would have liked to have done as an Olympic event.

A photos section is also included with, predictably, photos organized according to theme such as celebrity families and Emmy nominees.

Given this app is an E! product, there's a definite focus on certain celebrities and, of course, E! shows. For instance, one category includes information and video clips of popular E! shows such as Keeping Up With the Kardashians and The Soup, with the option to download full episodes via iTunes. They won't appeal to everyone, myself included, but they will prove entertaining for many. Popular E! sections such as Watch With Kristin and Ask Anything are also here, offering even more reading material and photos to gaze at.

Throughout the app, sharing features are only a touch away. Users can easily share articles, photos or videos via Facebook or Twitter, so their friends can check out the latest scoop. Push notifications are also possible for the users who just can't bear to be without the latest gossip.

Put together, E! Online is the ideal celebrity news app for interested parties. It's quick to load and covers a wide range of different stars. There's precious little else anyone could want from such an app.
