Numba is one of the initial release games that has kind of gotten lost in the deluge that is the 3,000 apps released in less than 2 months. That's a lot of apps for such a short amount of time for a brand new platform. I wonder if there were ever that many new apps in 2 months for Windows XP? Anyway, this is a great number matching game, easy to learn, and lots of fun to play. Kind of reminds me of a Bejeweled style game with many more features. The developers have done a perfect job with this game. It's fun to play, beautiful to look at, and one of my favorites.

You are presented with a grid of number and you connect the number chains in various ways for points. The more complex and long the chain the more points. Various ways to connect the chain, same number, numbers in order, odd/even numbers in order, reverse order. All of the options are presented in the game in a great tutorial.

As you progress the game gets more difficult by having different obstacles in the grid. Blank cells, changing cells, etc. In addition to that comes the opportunity for extra points with special multipliers.

This game remembers your position when you exit the app -- so you can come right back and continue at a later time. One of the features too often overlooked.

The only downside the the gameplay is that at times a level can tend to go on a bit too long. While the price is rather high for a game in the App Store, this one has lots of return value for me. The game adds lots of variety and each level seems to add new features. If you are a fan of games like Bejeweled -- but that require a little more brain power, this game might be for you.
