Natural Basketball is a casual game that will appeal to any basketball fans. The game is good for killing a few minutes but playing it for extended periods of time can grow repetitive due to a lack of additional game play modes and objectives.

The goal of the game is to score as many baskets as possible. Players simply tap the basketball that appears on screen and launch it at the basket by dragging their finger. Players can launch the ball directly at the basket, or bounce it of the floor first. If the basketball bounces off the backboard or rim, players can drag the ball again for a slam dunk. The slam dunk feature is really fun and it forces players to stay focused on the ball even after shooting it. My advice for some easy points is to bounce the basketball off the backboard with some force for easy slam dunks.

Clicking on “Extras” on the main screen takes players to a store, where new balls and themes can be purchased with the credits earned from playing. More credits can be purchased for real money, too. The themes, which are different looks for the basketball court, are nicely drawn and unique. The basketballs available for purchase, such as a beach ball, are also very amusing.

Despite the additional basketballs and themes, Natural Basketball is definitely a “one trick pony”. There aren’t different game modes or other mechanics that switch up the game play. However, it’s good for the casual gamer looking to kill 5 minutes.

The app integrates with game center and includes global leaderboards and plenty of achievements. Players are also encouraged to share their

Natural Basketball is a good casual game, but I found myself wanting more from the game. The basic game play mechanic is solid and the additional balls and themes are a nice touch, so hopefully a future update will add more features.
