Actually, that's an Amazon decision. Their Kindle hardware reader is US only, which means Kindle books are US only, which is why the Kindle app is not available outside the US at the moment.

I'm sure once Amazon gets all the licensing deals done with the publishers that they will go international. After all, they would make more money!
