One of the benefits of living in the age of cell phones is that users can easily document with photos the moments that make life special. The developer of My iStory has taken the process to the next level with their new app.
My iStory allows users to turn their photos into an eBook story. The app is fairly straightforward and easy to use — and just about anyone can figure out how to use it. Users can select photos from a specific day or photos spread out over the course of several days to include in their eBook. They can also add a text description to each photo, adding additional detail to the experience. More exciting, perhaps, users can create notes for each photograph using the built-in microphone. Or they can record memories related to that photo. Definitely a nice extra that goes a long way. Once users have created their eBook, they can distribute it via e-mail or print it.
In addition to producing eBooks, there are a couple of other things users can do with My iStory. For one, users can create individual galleries of photos. The app comes with a couple of default ones to get users started, including suggested galleries such as “Christmas” and “Vacation.” Furthermore, users can also create slideshows set to their favorite music. Users can even use keywords to search their diaries – ideal for retrieving photos related to specific events. And they can use the app to share photos on Facebook and through e-mail as well.
Camera-equipped devices like the iPhone make it easy to document life as it unfolds, but sometimes organizing it all can be challenging. With My iStory, the process is made a little more manageable. For 99 cents, it’s not a bad way to go for users intrigued by what’s been detailed here.
