Recent rankings of GoodReader have been steadily climbing. I used this app and it is really good for transfering and reading reference pdf materials. no known problems so far.

Take a look at the screenshots of documents it can read.>> http://www.productiveorganizer.com/productivity...

I tell u it costs 99 cents now. well worth it at that price

Most recent version of Good Reader is very stable -- try it. I've been using it for reading all kinds of research papers and have had very few problems.
The developers provide excellent email support and listen seriously to suggestions.

Well I went out and tested the battery life drain of this app and didn't find anything out of the ordinary... somewhere between standby and Oregon Trail (but probably closer to standby). I started my test with my "About Stacks" file and it proceeded to crash on me twice. I'm telling you, there is something evil about the "About Stacks" file. Other files worked correctly though and didn't seem to drain the battery life any more than expected.

Couldn't help but notice the screen shot has your battery "in the red". How does this app affect your battery?
