Ignacio,

Thanks for the response. I haven't installed your update yet, but I'm hopeful that it'll solve the majority of my issues. This seems like a concept that's perfect for the iphone once it uses the platform's strengths to implement the gameplay.

I'm certain that, at times, my ideas for changes to games won't work, as in your example with removing a disc. Still, I try to provide constructive feedback and suggestions when I can, especially on games I feel have potential.

Again, I appreciate that, as a developer, you're listening. Thanks!

Billy

Hi! I'm Flip Disc's programmer and designer. Thanks for reviewing my game.

I just wanted to stop by and tell you that version 1.0.2 has gone live yesterday. The new version adds two new input control systems which are based on your last two suggestions. The first one allows you to select and rotate the discs with your fingers (didn't remove the fifth disc, though, since the game becomes much more harder) while the second one allows you to select the discs by tapping in the middle of the disc or outside of it and, just like the first method, rotation is done by using your fingers.

I'm working to change the method for inputting the player's name for the High Scores screen: version 1.0.3 or 1.0.4 will use a custom keyboard (not the one provided by Apple), instead.

Maybe it went unnoticed, but if you press the Home button while playing, the game will record the current state so that you can resume it in the exact same way you left it. That's why I decided to put an "Exit" button: so that the player can "clear" its current game.

Regarding the issue where the app refuses to launch: as pointed out by another reviewer (see http://intouchreviews.blogspot.com/2009/05/flip...), it can be reproduced by pressing the "Home" button in the Game Over screen (it will be fixed in the next update). As far as I'm concerned, there are no other stability bugs. Nonetheless, should you find another bug, please don't hesitate to contact me via the online form at http://www.polar-motion.com/contact-us

Thanks again for writing the review and for all your suggestions.

Cheers,

--Ignacio
