AutoRingTone Pro Text to Speech Ringtones is an incredibly long title for a very simple tool; basically, it allows you to create your own ringtones. Unlike RingToneMaker Pro though, it converts text to speech rather than making music clips for your ringtone. It’s very quirky and there’s no denying that you’ll have an unique ringtone compared to everyone else.

There are dozens of different voices available to use as well as hundreds of sound effects to add to the tone. Quite a few quirky effects are on offer such as robots, aliens, a dog barking or a human screaming. Voices can be as regular as an American man or as creepy as the Devil. AutoRingTone Pro also requests your name so that it can offer a personalised message, plus you can create one for each of your contacts by adding their name to the message. Each ringtone can be previewed from your iPhone so it’s quite easy to spend a long time messing around until you settle on your favourite.

Once you’ve decided and finished messing around with the app, check your email inbox and AutoRingTone has contacted you with a web address containing all your created ringtones. It then explains in a few very simple steps how to transfer them from your PC to your phone. It’s all very simple to do and novices will be able to adjust perfectly easily. While Apple doesn’t allow apps to install ringtones, this feels like the next best thing and certainly isn’t fiddly. No Tie software even promises that ringtones can be made for other phones although I didn’t have a spare phone to confirm this.

AutoRingTone Pro does exactly what it says in the title. It’s very easy to use and serves a great purpose. Sure you won’t be using it every day of the week after the initial craze to create hundreds of different ringtones but it is something that you’ll find yourself returning to when you fancy a change of ringtone.
