Tiny Rails is a pleasant little train management sim that sees you cruising from city to city in your very own locomotive. For the most part, the game is pretty hands-off as you wait to reach your destination and adjust your train’s cargo and supplies. It takes some doing, though, especially when you have to keep passengers happy and maintain your budget. Here are a few tips to keep your own railway running smoothly.

Read the reviews

Passengers will let you know what they think of their trip, and we encourage you to mind that feedback. Paying attention to what customers like and dislike will show you how to manage your train, ensuring that you have a steady stream of passengers and plenty of cash. As you progress, you’ll gain access to different types of cars that can increase or decrease different amenities that affect traveler happiness.

Shop in the markets
Along your travels, you’ll find different markets in various cities. Always buy up the goods you find, especially if they’re on sale. You might find these items going for a much higher price further down the line. Playing the markets is an excellent way to make money and upgrade your train more quickly.

Don’t forget to claim your achievements

Your achievements and goals are hidden away behind the settings menu in the lower right corner of the screen. Tap the star icon once you’re inside to view your achievements. Completing these objectives nets you a nice gem award that you can use to buy more premium upgrades or speed up timers.

There’s a lot of keep track of when you’re the conductor of a train, but we’re confident these tips will set you in the right direction. This is a game of balance and proper budgeting, so be careful, but also be willing to take risks every now and then. Soon you’ll be criss-crossing the continent with style.

Are you a seasoned conductor already? Leave your own advice in the comments!
