The indie excitement earlier this month has died down for the most part, but there were still a number of fun new games out this week, including some exciting mobile exclusive entries of famed video game franchises. This week we tried out an open-world GTA-inspired title, a pretty puzzler, and two mobile entries from some familiar big names. Quite a few surprises snuck their way onto the list this week, showing that you can find quality in the most unexpected places. Let's take a closer peek.

Gangstar: New Orleans
Gameloft puts their own spin on the Grand Theft Auto formula with their Gangstar series, and New Orleans is their latest attempt. It's a violent crime sim that follows very closely in the footsteps of its predecessor. It's a bit mindless, but if you enjoy roaming around shooting things you'll get a kick out of Gangstar: New Orleans.

KAMI 2
KAMI 2 is a stunning paper art puzzler that can be unforgiving at times, but helpful hints along the way will keep you from getting stuck. It's stylish and a good challenge if you're looking for something to while away the minutes on the train.

Power Rangers: Legacy Wars
This licensed brawler contains some surprising depth. Legacy Wars lets you fight as your favorite mighty-morphin' super heroes in fast-paced, strategic combat. Competition is fierce, but mastering the nuances of combat is ultimately rewarding.

Dynasty Warriors: Unleashed
Dynasty Warriors' sweeping, massive-scale battles translate surprisngly well to mobile platforms. If your phone is up to the task, you can hack and slash your way through hordes of enemies as you would in any other Musou game. It's the Dynasty Warriors title you never knew you needed.
