The best mobile battle royale games

Posted by Jessica Famularo on October 5th, 2017

Battle royale games like Player Unknown's Battlegrounds and Fortnite are the current big trend in games. Players are flocking to these titles in the millions and it's easy to see why. They're fun to play on your lonesome or with friends, and the combination of survival and third-person shooter elements is downright addictive.

If you're looking for some similar games on mobile, we've managed to track down a few that will do the job. It's still a relatively new genre for mobile, but expect to see many more games of this sort headed your way soon.

Black Survival

Black Survival places you on a desert island with nine other players, where you'll have to duke it out to become the last person standing. The island featurse over 20 distinct locations, but the field of play will gradually grow smaller as the match progresses. The game features an interesting crafting element -- you'll craft weapons and hunt animals to make your character stronger so you can better defend yourself.

Neon Shadow

More of a twitchy battle arena in the style of Quake, Neon Shadow is still a highly polished you vs. everyone else shooter. The game supports local and online multiplayer, and it all works incredibly well. The controls are tight and responsive, an important feature for any mobile shooter.

Bullet Strike: Battlegrounds

Bullet Strike: Battlegrounds isn't shy about its very clear PUBG roots, and it actually looks to be a very promising new title. Battlegrounds sets 20 players on a remote island where they'll fight it out to become the ultimate survivor. The game's currentlly in alpha, although the developers, according to our friends at Touch Arcade, have been actively adding new testers, and the open beta is slated to open in the next few days.
