SUP Multiplayer Racing takes your typical racing game and pares it down to its elements. Rather than steering your car for yourself, the controls have been reduced to two buttons -- one for jumping and changing lanes, the other for using your turbo abilities.

While it sounds simple, there's actually a lot of strategy involved. You'll need to learn how to take out your opponents, and use your boosts to your advantage. The game throws you right in with players of all abilities, so you'll have to figure things out quickly. Lucky for you, we're here to help.

Mess with your opponents

Don't worry about feeling mean. InSUP, playing dirty is the norm. The only way to get in first place is to use your boosts carefully and find ways to bump your opponents out of the way. That means cutting them off at every opportunity, nudging them off the track, or jumping on top of them mid-jump. Do whatever you can to get in the opposing player's way.

Upgrade your car as much as you can

After you've completed a few races, you'll want to jump right into upgrading your car. Don't worry about saving up -- you'll earn plenty of rewards throughout your career. Put money into your upgrades so that you can keep up with cars who've already gone through a few upgrades. It's important to keep up to date on your car's maintenance so that you can move up through the ranks!

Use the boosters as often as possible

You get a three-tiered turbo boost that you can use to zoom ahead of other players, though it is limited. Once you use it, you'll have to recharge.

That doesn't mean you have to lose your coveted first-place position, though. Make sure that you're hitting all of the blue boost pads on the track so that you can keep up the pace whether you have turbo to use or not.

SUP pits you against much more experienced players without hesitation, but that doesn't mean you won't be able to keep up. Use these tips and you'll be racing with the best soon enough.
