Ketchapp Games' latest hit is a space-aged high score chaser called Space Frontier and boy is it addictive. The game tasks you with disengaging fuselages from a rocket with carefully timed taps in order to reach the highest score possible.

It's simple in theory, but Space Frontier's endless gameplay loops make this game truly addictive. It can also be quite challenging, which is where we here at 148Apps come in. We've got a few tips to help you keep your rockets flying straight and true.

Go for green

To disengage your fuselage, you need to hold off on tapping until the tail of your rocket burns up to the green line. It sounds obvious, but it's a little trickier than you might expect, especially if you want a really good score.

Try to always get "perfects" or "awesomes" when you reach the green line. To do this, it's helpful to maintain careful focus. Keep a close eye on either the green line, or the flaming tail of your rocket. This will help you time things exactly and ensure that you don't miss your very narrow window of opportunity.

This might mean waiting until the rocket has burned just slightly into the green bit. It takes a bit of time to get a feel for things, but if you keep your eyes on a steady point you'll learn a lot better.

Save up for those upgrades

While the game will try to tempt you with some cosmetic upgrades, save your hard earned gold for upgrades that actually add tiers to your rocket. Having a cute little panda on your rocket is fun, sure, but it won't do anything for your score. The longer your rocket, the greater odds you have of boosting your high score. It will make your job a whole lot easier.

Watch the ads

You're not going to get a top score without gold, so take every opportunity to watch the adds for some extra cash. Each upgrade gets more and more expensive as you progress, so you're going to need to save every penny.
