I doubt it. Ive used sling with Sprint and Wm and never come close to 5 gigs, and I use it alot

problem with canada is that there's a 5gig per month bandwidth cap, last I heard… you'll likely hit that without too much difficulty with a video streaming app

It's tempting to think that apple's review process is some coordinated effort between at&t, apple and lawyers… the reality is, it's a few (far too few!) not very well trained folks who have a set of rules and then their own judgement… since they receive far more than the can handle reasonably well, they err on the side of “reject” or on the side of caution (often at the pain of the developers). I agree, this rumor is rediculous… heck, I got an app that would play video on 3G through 4 reviews before someone at apple suddently changed their mind and rejected it… my solution? Play it in apple's own safari browser which has no such “bandwidth” restrictions

Fine, don't release it in the US, but do so in Canada whre AT&T doesn't hold sway over the space.

And since you supposedly can't use the app with anything other than current-model Slingboxes anyway, that narrows the pool even further…
