If you own a mobile device, chances are you've playedNom Cats, the hideously addictive arcade high score chaser by Lucky Kat Studios.

Well, they're back with the brand newSky Chasers, which has similar addictive tappy gameplay but far less cats.

What it lacks in cats it more than makes up for in content though. It's essentially a platforming adventure, but one in which you have to remain airborne in a variety of cute little rockets.

And that's the tricky part but have no fear for 148Apps is here to help you remain in flight.

Know the controls

You tap either side of the screen to fly in that direction, or both at once to fly directly up. Bear in mind that you move by firing up the rockets on either side of your craft, so you'll always fly somewhat vertically.

Consider this when trying to navigate trick areas, avoiding enemies, or collecting items.

Occasionally, you'll have to pick up an item and carry it to another destination. Remember that this slows you down and makes it difficult to fly right up. You can offset this a bit with a double hold but you won't be able to turn quite as quickly.

Conserve that fuel

Fuel is everything inSky Chasers. Not only can you physically not move without it, it also acts as your healthbar. Run out at any point and your done.

With that in mind, do your utmost to conserve that fuel. That means avoiding enemies, not just holding down on the screen to move (hover as much as you can), and land on every single checkpoint you come across.

Also, unlock new rockets - they consume far less fuel.

Collect those coins

This brings us nicely onto our next point - collect all coins you come across. Remember those checkpoints and rockets we mentioned earlier? These cost coins to unlock - and they don't come cheap.

The easiest way to get coins is just to collect every single one you come across while working your way through the levels - and particularly the diamonds which are worth far more.

You can also watch adverts, follow Lucky Kat Studios on Facebook and Twitter, complete bonus levels (which are intermittently available at checkpoints), or keep an eye out ofr hidden areas - all of which offer a nice little boost in cash.
