Adult Swim Games teased Robot Unicorn Attack 3 on Twitter today, sharing a gif of a robot unicorn bursting forth through cloud, scattering rubble in its wake. That's about all the information we got, however. The gif does hint at some enhanced visuals, suggesting that perhaps the series is making a departure from its customary 2D sidescrolling schtick. We're likely to find out in the spring when the game launches.

If you're not familiar with Robot Unicorn Attack, then you're missing out on a lot of joy, and should probably go out and try it right now. It's an endless runner, which is nothing special in the realm of mobile games. What makes these games special though, are the unending rainbows streaming from your metallic tail/rare end, the spectacular '80s house soundtrack, and the irridescent dolphins that inexplicably dance across the sky when you're doing an especially good job. It's ridiculous, irreverent, and features flawless controls and an irresistible challenge. Needless to say, the internet is quite looking forward to the 3rd iteration of one of Adult Swim Games' first projects.
