MU Origin celebrates its first birthday with presents for players

A year ago, Seoul-based publisher Webzen added to its MU franchise with an MMO for the mobile platform. MU Origin features elements from its 2003 predecessor, updated to fit in amongst other modern freemium fantasy-action apps. You loot dungeons, maim monsters and level up, and up, and up. Having reached the grand old age of 1, close to 2 million players have hacked and slashed their way across the lands of MU Origin. In fact, gamers have notched up a combined playtime of over 7000 years! That’s enough time to build 38 Towers of Pisa (and probably straighten up the wonky one, too).

In celebration of MU Origin’s anniversary, Webzen is rewarding players with a load of freebies, bonuses and discounts from the 28th of July to the 3rd of August. Just logging in daily during the event period will net you a reward. You’ll gain additional awards based on your Talisman tier and VIP level too. Playing Colosseum, Epic Chest Point, Party Dungeon and Exchange promises double the points, rewards and duration.

As an incentive to spread the news, Webzen is rewarding players who share the MU Origin anniversary infographic on Facebook. Just post your character details in the comments so the developers know where to chuck your gift. You can also share a screenshot of your character beside the new anniversary title to receive additional rewards.
