We've seen overhead view racers before. Most notably is the great Reckless Racing. But Mini Motor Racing is set to raise the bar yet again with a great arcade racing style reminiscent of Micro Machines.

We got a quick and very fun look at Mini Motor Racing during GDC. Once I started playing, I didn't want to give Binary Mill's device back. It's much more of an arcade racer than the previously mentioned Reckless Racing. It also reminds me, fondly, or the Micro Machines racing games from Nintendo. The overall look is more comical or toy like.

MMR features some great retina display graphics, 4 different upgradeable car types, and 20 different tracks. Also included is an interesting night racing mode. You have a choice of control methods - something that we've come to expect in racers these days. I found the directional wheel to be the best for me. Very easy to control.

You can see from the video that there is a lot of fun to be had. We expect MMR hit in the next few months. Keep an eye out.
