The fourth day of the working week only means one thing here at 148Apps towers - it's time to pick which game should win our game of the week award. We've narrowed down the shortlist to five, but it's up to you to choose which of them deserves to walk away with this week's crown.

It's been a difficult week for shortlisting though, since so many awesome, and unexpected games have come out over the past seven days. In other weeks, plenty of those would have made it onto this round-up of five, but this isn't other weeks. It's this week, and these are the games we've picked for you.

So how do you vote? Well, it couldn't be simpler. You can tweet us your choice using the hashtag #148GOW, you can leave a comment on our Facebook page, or you can register your choice by leaving a comment on this here article. See, it'd be difficult to make that any easier for you.

Monster Hunter Stories - download for iOS

This one is a port, but we've got good reason to include it on this list, you can trust us on that. It's a massive, super deep RPG set in the world of Monster Hunter, and it sees you collecting as many friendly monsties as you can in order to build up a fearsome battle team.

Why we think you'll like it: The game first came out for 3DS a year or so ago, but since the 3DS is on the way out, it's great that players have another opportunity to pick this up. It's not as complex as regular Monster Hunter games, but there's still a good deal of depth here for those looking to push their face deep into the adventure.

Hovercraft Battle Arena - download for iOS

Where Monster Hunter Stories is massive, Hovercraft: Battle Arena is small and tight. But don't let that fool you, because it delivers addictive multiplayer action in spades. In fact it's the narrowness of the experience that really makes it shine.

Why we think you'll like it: If you're a fan of quick-fire, vehicle based violence, then there's a good chance you're going to love this one. Throw in some customisable vehicles and some interesting MOBA-style ideas, and we could well be on to a winner.

Hooky Crook - download for iOS

A game about a cat who is also a burglar. A cat burglar, if you will. It's got a super simple control system and super short levels, but there's much more to this one than meets the eye at first glance.

Why we think you'll like it: This is the sort of game that lets you get into the fun fast. There's no messing around, you're straight into swinging from pillar to post in order to nab a giant gem. It's wonderfully compulsive, and while it's not the best looking game on this list, we can forgive it that.

Animus: Harbinger - download for iOS

Animus: Harbinger makes no bones about its inspiration. This is a game that wants to be the Dark Souls of mobile gaming, and from the first scene it smashes that feel. There are fires, giant weapons, and towering monsters. And trust us when we say that you're going to die. An awful lot.

Why we think you'll like it: It's highly likely you're going to struggle with Animus, but you're going to struggle in the best ways. This is a game about figuring out attack patterns, getting to grips with your own weapons, and trying to edge through the game without getting hacked to pieces.

Dragalia Lost - download for iOS

Nintendo's latest has made its way onto the App Store, so it was pretty inevitable that it was going to end up on this list. We mean, it's Nintendo, we wouldn't really be doing our job if we didn't include it here. And you'd probably all shout at us and call us names, and that's the sort of thing we do not like.

Why we think you'll like it: It's a departure for the big N and no mistake, but there's still a lot to like here. You've got a huge RPG experience waiting for you, and some intriguing mechanics designed to make sure you're going to be playing for hours and hours on end.
