Icy Ropes
is topping the App Store charts just in time for chillier weather. What better way to prepare for winter's imminent arrival than by guiding two pixelated mountain climbers across treacherous icy ledges? Your two characters are attached to each other by a rope, so you'll have to keep this in mind as you make your way across the mountains. Use this guide to make sure you don't fall to your demise.

Keep going, no matter what
If one of your climbers starts to fall in the abyss, don't give up! Things might look hopeless, but try to keep jumping to safety. If you get lucky, you can sometimes manage to drag your fallen comrade up to safety and continue your attempts at a high score.

Use long jumps for more control
Hold your finger on the screen for a slightly longer, slower jump if you want to aim for a ledge with more control. Then use a quick tap to get the second climber to follow. Get the feel for this back and forth and you'll have no trouble setting new records. Keep in mind that small ledges might require a lighter touch.

Watch the ads
There isn't much in the way of upgrades to make your path easier, but you can collect coins to unlock new characters. They don't do much in terms of gameplay, but there are dozens to unlock and they do spice things up a bit when the game is starting to feel repetitive and you need a reward for your efforts. Every now and then a goat will appear at the beginning of each level. It'll give you the option to watch an ad in exchange for coins, so take advantage!

It can take some time getting used to Icy Ropes unique co-operative mechanics, but this guide will help you adjust quickly and climb to new heights.
