The mobile version of Guild of Dungeoneering is getting fresh scoops of monsters and quests in its latest expansion, Ice Cream Headaches, out this Thursday on iOS and Android. If you haven't tried the game yet, it's a clever turn on the classic dungeon crawler, as players build said dungeons around the characters.

The expansion provides heaps of new content, including a brand new region to explore, new quests (some of which will unlock fresh dungeoneer classes), and monsters reminiscent of well-loved frozen sweet treats.

Ice Cream Headaches also introduces a new Favour mechanic that offers new potential perks. When players draw a room or corridor tile, it may be inscribed with a Rune of Fate. Placing this tile in a dungeon may summon a monster that, when defeated, grants the challenger with the Favour of the Fates.

The expansion content is available early on, and perfectly playable for beginning players, so if you're starting a new game you won't have to wait to try it out. Ice Cream Headaches is free to all who've already purchased Guild of Dungeoneering, but if you're late to the party you'll have to pay an extra dollar on top of the game's base price, or $5.99, once the expansion goes live on Thursday.
