Designers Colin Lane and Brad Erkkila have been teasing twitter with a series of .gifs featuring their up-coming game, Golf Zero. The game draws clear inspiration from Super Meat Boy, in that it's a challenging platformer in which your little sprite has to dodge sawblades and spikes before eventually succumbing to a violent end. But this time, there's a golfing twist. Using some bullet time mechanics, you attempt to putt a golfball into a hole before your violent death. The game is looking pretty spectacular, especially now that we've got an even closer glimpse.

Colin Lane shared a brief teaser video (above) on Twitter before stating that the pair hopes to have the game finished by the end of February. While the game's difficulty looks positively crushing, the smooth, smart mechanics and what looks to be some promissing level design will probably keep you coming back for more. Luckily it seems like we won't have much longer to wait until we can get our hands on the full release.
