Got a Sweet Tooth?
All these strategies for crushing candy (and soda!) are all well and good, but what if you want to know if you should even bother with it in the first place? Fortunately that's precisely why we have a Candy Crush Soda Saga review for you!

Have you recently downloaded Candy Crush Soda Saga and are in need of some help? We’re here with some handy tips and tricks to get you out of a jam!

The Basics

It sounds a little obvious but remember - this isn’t Candy Crush Saga or any of the other Match-3 games you may have played. Candy Crush Soda Saga isn’t just about matching up anything and everything. All the levels have key objectives that you really need to focus on. Don’t be distracted.
  • The Bubble Bear stages require you to make the bubble bears float to the top. This is done by matching up soda bottles to make the soda level rise, thereby taking the bubble bears upwards.

  • Always focus on clearing soda bottles first.

  • When you can’t match up a soda bottle, focus on matching directly above the bubble bears to help them float to the top that bit faster.

  • It’s possible to have soda bottles float off the top of the screen. Don’t let them. Match them up before they get that far.

  • The Frosted Bear stages involve you clearing ice and unlocking the trapped gummy bears. That means that clearing ice is your priority, bar none.

  • Part of the challenge here is in spotting frosted bears. It can be tricky to find where they are, kind of like Battleships.

  • Spread out the search to try to cover a wide area in as few moves as possible.

  • Look for a faint green glow that should be possible once there’s only one layer of ice between you and the bear, and focus on clearing this ice no matter what.

  • Unlike some levels, all the Frosted Bear stages are random. Don’t bother memorizing where a bear was before. It’ll have moved during your next go.

Dealing with Obstacles

  • Liquorice cages can really restrict the movement of other tiles on the board. Focus on destroying them before they get in the way, especially when dealing with a Bubble Bear stage.

  • Some stages have chocolate getting in the way. It multiplies unless you destroy at least one piece each move. Deal with it swiftly! Every time it multiplies it slows you down, plus it takes out a piece of candy that might have been useful.

  • In later stages honey is even more problematic than chocolate, offering a similar change but with multiple layers. Keep chipping away at it and don’t let it win.

  • Resist using powered-up candies as soon as they appear. They’re a little more frequent than in Candy Crush Saga but then they need to be when the opposition is tougher.

  • Hold out and wait to use them in a more powerful manner, such as when trying to deal with ice or liquorice cages. They can make all the difference. Sometimes you’re better off clearing a small but tricky area rather than a large segment that has little to gain.
