BillGuard Adds Identity Theft Protection to Pro and Ultimate Services

BillGuard has been keeping a watchful eye on your finances for a couple of years now, but today they're teaming up with Symantec to allow mobile users to take advantage of an extra layer of protection. Specifically for identity theft.

These new features are available for the Pro ($2.99/month) and Ultimate ($6.99/month) subscription plans - and free users can still enjoy the benefits of the free BillGuard plan, of course.

Pro users now receive the added benefit of Lost Wallet Recovery to replace your license and various financial items if your wallet ever goes missing, Credit Monitoring through TransUnion to detect account fraud, and Assisted Identity Restoration (i.e. someone guides you through the process of getting your identity back.

Ultimate users have the same benefits as Pro with the addition of two more bureus for Credit Monitoring (Experian and EquiFax) and full-service Identity Restoration (i.e. a specialist does all the lef work for you). On top of that, Ultimate subscribers also receive Black Market Surveillance (they check sites known to deal in ID theft to see if your info has been posted or traded), SSN Fraud Alerts to make sure no one tries to set up an alias using your Social Security Number, and a "$1 Million Payback Guarantee" that covers the cost of travel, lost wages, and hiring experts to get your life back on track (up to a total expenditure of $1 million).
