Apple has announced the time and location for this year's Wordwide Developer Conference, which is scheduled to be held from June 2 through June 6 in San Francisco, California. Interested parties can also apply for tickets starting today through April 7, 2014.

WWDC is a well-regarded conference that gives developers insight into the future of OS X and iOS, as well as giving them the tools to create apps for these systems. The conference looks to present plenty of technical sessions and more than a 1000 Apple engineers, as well as design awards for apps from the past year.

"We have the most amazing developer community in the world and have a great week planned for them,” said Philip Schiller, Apple’s senior vice president of Worldwide Marketing. “Every year the WWDC audience becomes more diverse, with developers from almost every discipline you can imagine and coming from every corner of the globe. We look forward to sharing with them our latest advances in iOS and OS X so they can create the next generation of great apps.”

Tickets will be assigned via random selection, there are also opportunities for students to enter for free tickets.
