Check out the anticipated Angel Stone in all its hack and slash glory in the first official gameplay trailer

Posted by Simon Reed on May 29th, 2015

Fincon has finally revealed Angel Stone in action in the first ever official gameplay trailer for the anticipated hack and slasher.

Angel Stone is set in a post-apocalyptic world in which humanity is in danger of being wiped out by the demonic Legion.

You'll select a class from berserker, gunslinger, and shadow mage and join forces with humanity's last line of defence against these frightening foes, the Resistance.

Angel Stones are talismans of fallen angels that you'll collect as you play. These unlock new abilities for your character.

There's a single player story to work your way through in mission mode, a co-operative boss raid, and real-time PVP depending on your preference.

To get a chance to play the game before its due out, head on over to angelstonegame.com to pre-register for the early access beta.

Angel Stone will land on iOS and Android this summer 2015.

Crossy Road Devs Hipster Whale are Bringing PAC-MAN 256 to iOS Later This Year

Posted by Rob Rich on May 27th, 2015

Hipster Whale, the minds behind the rather popular (and rather great) Crossy Road, have teamed-up with Bandai Namco to create PAC-MAN 256: an absolutely bonkers looking maze runner chaser thing.

The new game turns a bug from the original PAC-MAN (and other early games in the franchise) into a feature by having players make a mad dash through an endless maze - with the infamous glitch in hot pursuit. Along with Inky, Pinky, Blinky, and Clyde of course. Coins and power-ups will also be available to help even the playing field a tiny bit (but not too much).

PAC-MAN 256 will be available on the App Store later this summer as a free download.

What the Apple Watch Gets Right, and What it Gets Wrong - Revisited

Posted by Rob Rich on May 26th, 2015

A couple of months ago I ruminated on what the Apple Watch could and couldn’t do (as indicated by Apple’s own descriptions, since the watch itself wasn’t out yet). I also ruminated on what it seemed to be doing right and what it was doing wrong. Now that I’ve actually had one for a bit and have been using it daily, some of my thoughts have changed. Some for the better, and some for the worse.

So it’s time to take a look back at what I got right (ha-ha!) and what I got wrong (boo!).
