Does finding information on the internet frustrate you? Do you spend the majority of your time aimlessly skimming through multiple webpages in an attempt to find the most useful?

If so, you may be interested in an app called pickWEB.

pickWEB is a ‘thematic catalogue’ of the world’s most interesting and current websites. This catalogue, is curated by a human being rather than a robot or a computer, and it’s constantly being reviewed and updated in accordance with current information.

The pickWEB team has tried to select the world’s most interesting websites from a variety of themes, which include the likes of business, health, entertainment, cinema, and music. There are also separate collections of sites for both men and women.

Furthermore, the catalogue is divided in accordance with countries. Currently, the pickWEB catalogue contains links to websites in Great Britain and the USA, as well as in Canada, France, Germany, Russia, and Ukraine.

The program itself has a multilingual (English, French, German and Russian) interface.

The pickWEB app on your iPhone or iPad features a pretty handy ‘favorites’ section where you can store the sites you’re likely to visit most for easy access. You can also create your own links to websites within the pickWEB app using its integrated search option, so you don’t even have to leave the app.

pickWEB was created out of necessity. More often than not, people (especially those who are new to computers and the web) spend more time searching for relevant information on the internet than they do enjoying the content that they were interested in.

Sure, you can use a search engine like Google, but these often return websites that a full of garbage or completely outdated, and you still need to skim through tons of information to find what you’re truly looking for.

pickWEB is an attempt to solve this issue, and the team who created it are incredibly proud that the app can help you reach necessary information in just a few taps. The pickWEB team strives to make the pickWEB app as simple and convenient to use as possible, and is constantly working to perfect its user interface.

According to its developer, pickWEB is currently a pilot project and all constructive criticism is not only useful, but welcome. Over the next few months, the pickWEB team plan to implement plenty of new features in the app, including the ability to organize a personal catalogue of links.

Imagine that this catalogue will be stored in one place, and accessible from almost anywhere in the world at any time from practically any device.

pickWEB is already available on a wide variety of platforms, including iOS, Android, Windows Phone, and Windows (Windows XP, Windows 7, Windows 8), and a client designed for Apple’s Mac OS is in the works.

Head on over to the App Store or Google Play right now and grab the pickWEB app completely free of charge.

Coco Entertainment International’s MMORPG Chaos Fighters is available now in the App Store, and is reaching some high positions in the charts. The game has just had a global release and can be downloaded on both iPhone and iPad, and since being available it’s moved up various charts across the App Store.

On Friday it was ranked in the top ten free apps on Apple’s digital marketplace in the US, fifth in the Free Apps Chart on the US App Store, fourth in the Free Games Chart, and also third in the US charts for action titles. Arguably most impressive of all is it managed to beat away some tough opposition to reach the top of the US charts for adventure games.

You can download Chaos Fighters for free on the App Store by using the following link [download].

Coco Games have opened up pre-registration for its new MMORPG Chaos Fighters, and are encouraging everyone to sign up.

In an initiative that’s actually quite rare in the West, if you register you can receive a notification of when the game becomes live in the App Store. Why should you do such a thing, though? Well, the developer gives two reasons – one, as the game is an MMORPG with a strong PvP focus, getting the game first could give you the edge over your competitors. Second, and perhaps more intriguingly, pre-registering will give you a code to redeem some in-game items – and also enter you in a competition to win one of three iPad Minis.

You can pre-register by visiting this link.

Top down dual-stick shooter In a Space has been released exclusively into the Canadian App Store today, and looks to bring a bit more depth to the party than just mindless blasting.

Developed by Actoz Soft, the title sees you playing as a robot firing away at enemies on various planets – but there are also several opportunities to create clans with other players and work together to dominate the universe the game has created. Or you can go on a one robot dictatorship rampage. Your call.

There’s a large amount of weaponry available to use as you’d expect too, with all the arsenal at your disposal upgraded and improved largely through artifacts you collect in-game.

You can download In a Space – if you’re in Canada that is – for free now [iTunes link]. A release outside of Canada is yet to be announced at this time.

Made free to download from a price of $1.99, Alarmy (Sleep If U Can) from Delight Room offers a unique way for you to be woken up in the mornings. More details on how the app works can be found from the developer below:

Alarmy (Sleep If U Can) is the innovative solution for those who just can’t seem to get up on time, even with an alarm clock. This app has been cleverly designed to force you to get out of bed. You set it up by registering a photo of an area or room in your house. Then once the alarm is set, the ONLY way to make it stop ringing is to get out of bed and go take a photo of the registered area.

The World’s Most Annoying Alarm
Dubbed as “the world’s most annoying alarm”, Alarmy has quickly become a favorite mobile app among users. It has been featured in Gizmodo, Cnet, and at Huffington Post, and is currently Number One in its category in 33 countries, including France, Germany, and South Korea.
