Defend Your Castle

Defend Your Castle

iPhone App - Designed for the iPhone, compatible with the iPad
Being a fan of the web version of this game, I couldn't wait to get my hands on it. It is basically the same game, but they have modified it for the iPhone platform. Still fun and addictive, but maybe only at the sale price.

Space Invaders

Space Invaders

iPhone App - Designed for the iPhone, compatible with the iPad
This is exactly space invaders as you remember. Many of us played the first time round (*koff*). The charm about it is that it is actually by the original folks who brought it to us in 1978. Would have been nice if they gave us the same prices! The game essentially is a small space ship along the bottom, that has to shoot at the space invaders shooting and coming down towards you.

This is a virtual villagers / sim style game. You control the people to gather resources, defend your land and generate a thriving community. You play as a Frontier settler and it has nice graphics that makes the westward 'cowboy' theme look really fun. Like all sim games this can be a real time hog so be warned!

It is drawing upon the basic principles of persistence of vision that allows you to read the message written.

ibisMail

ibisMail

iPhone App - Designed for the iPhone, compatible with the iPad
Unfortunately this app has been released before it is ready. I could not get it to work with any POP3 email accounts (and have read customers saying that IMAP didn't seem to work), and I also could not get it to work with GMail. I also tried Hotmail accounts and other generic accounts. None worked with this application in my experience.
