The Daily National Prayer app invites people in our nation to come together in unity to pray for our country and its leaders. It will deliver a new one-sentence prayer daily, based on scripture. It is designed to be simple, easy and quick, yet empower individuals to be a part of a much larger community supporting our nation on a daily basis, bringing the focus of God back onto the leadership of our nation, and promoting patriotism.
The app also comes with a Bible (RSV) so you can dig deeper into the referenced scripture or do further reading. Plus, it includes an Audio Bible and Reading Plan to help with your daily devotion.
The inspiration behind this app came from the National Day of Prayer focus on asking God to intercede for our leaders and their families. There is great momentum behind this movement, and we would like to continue this momentum in our daily lives in a simple, yet meaningful way.
Do you turn on the news or listen to the latest story about our world and feel despair and powerless? What if we could join together in unity every day to pray for our country; not just one day a year?
Our nation, leaders and families, in our current world dynamics, can really benefit from regularly praying together in unison for the wisdom, guidance, grace and protection that only God can provide. The power of unity in prayer can truly bring about change in amazing ways. As Jesus said,
“Again I say to you, if two of you agree on earth about anything they ask, it will be done for them by my Father in heaven. For where two or three are gathered in my name, there am I in the midst of them." (Matthew 19:18-20 RSV)
