What's New

Maps! The Bible mentions many places which aren't familiar to us today, but locations carry significance. If someone said they went first from LA to San Diego, and then to Tijuana, you probably know there's an important difference between those last two places. Have you noticed the similar pattern in Mark 7?

Now with Verse3 you can see the location of any known Biblical place on the map, so that you'll understand the Bible better. Tap the verse mentioning a place, and select "Map". Also, a map marker is also displayed when you're reading sections of the bible which mention known locations.

Not all locations mentioned in the Bible are known to us today, and some locations are approximate or are debated by scholars, but most are known!

App Description

Verse3 was created to help you do two things better than ever before:
- read Bible passages, all together on the screen even if they're far apart in the Bible, and
- find Bible passages, by your concept rather than merely by a specific word.

You know when you're listening to a sermon and you hear 5 or 10 different bible passages, and you have to keep flipping back and forth to compare them and see the big picture? Verse3 lets you see those passages together on one screen, and take notes right there too - perfect for meaty Sunday morning messages, as well as in your own studies of a topic.

Verse3's blazingly fast and intelligent Find capability lets you find passages without needing to know the precise word(s) used in the Bible passage. Verse3 understands plurals, parts of speech, and even similar words - for instance, if you search for "singing", you'll also see when people sing, sang, or sung.

Similarly, if you search for "alcohol" you probably want to see mentions of beer and wine, so Verse3 shows them to you. (Try searching for colors, flowers, gems, and more.) And, when you search for "Mary", Verse3 knows that there are several people with that name; just choose the one you mean!

Verse3 helps you with big concepts, which have too many results to be useful if you merely were shown all uses of the word. Try "marriage" or "grace" or "money" for an overview of these key topics.

Comparing how various Bible translations have translated a passage is easy; tap on a passage and select "Compare Translations" for a convenient side-by-side display.

Verse3 comes with free offline access to the excellent modern HCSB Bible translation as well as the traditional KJV. Other translations including the NIV, NASB, and NKJV are available for purchase inside the app, with more translations coming soon.

You can see video demonstrations of these unique Verse3 features on our website: verse3.com

We hope you enjoy these new ways to read and search the Bible. Please let us know what you think: writing positive app reviews is of course appreciated, but if you have any problems then just contact us at [email protected] so we can fix any problems you encounter. Thanks!
