What's New (version 3.0.3):
- App simplification and minor bug fixes

App Description

The instructional portion ("MAKE" tab) has subtitles available in English and French.

Love to crochet, but hate to interpret pattern language? Secrets of the Pyramids is your guide to a new world of freed creativity. The focus is on particular techniques, which unlock various geometric shapes. A truly unlimited variety of projects is created by combining the geometric shapes into…well, ANYTHING you can imagine!

This series is aimed at the discouraged crocheter, confused and irritated by all the “rules” – i.e., precision in stitch counts, symmetry, swatching, blocking, ripping out work that isn’t perfect, etc.  In the subversive heart of Secrets is the notion that all of that can be tossed aside – and beautiful art is still attainable, perhaps even more so, by nurturing the creative spirit that we share as human beings.

Drawing from the visions of over three hundred and fifty 3-D and 2-D artists worldwide, as well as contributions from talented voice artists set to fourteen inspiring songs - “Secrets” depicts Ancient Egypt as it was (or might have been), in celebration of this fabulous culture.

Features include:

The pattern (center button) is accessible without an internet connection, so your project can continue to grow when you are far from home. However, internet connection is needed for access to other buttons (video promos for current and new apps, links to online games, the Help wiki, About, and Kits).

AppleTV compatible: watch it on the big screen! This is especially useful when teaching or working in a group.

Film-strip and fast-scrub methods help you quickly locate where you left off in your project work - and to review, fast-forward and pause as you wish.

“It is said, that when one has mastered all of the secrets – the number of unique designs possible, is as the stars in the sky…”
Sobek - Ancient Egyptian handmaiden to the Queen

Sobek begins your journey on a search for the mystery of the triangular form. As she puts it, “I am not tutored by the gods as the royals are”, but “I will share all that I know with you.” With the help of her friend the Scribe, the basic Isosceles triangle is explored in crochet and its secrets – variations, decoration, and just a tiny sample of its potential uses in design – are examined in Segment 1.

Segment 1-1: The basic Isosceles – Small, Medium and Large. What is the difference in how they are made?

Segment 1-2: Variations and Decorations – size and shape variations of the Isosceles, and adding gold and silver stripes (both horizontally and vertically).

Segment 1-3: Stripes and More – Color-striping the Isosceles both Tall and Small. Adding gold and silver rims. Finally, the Golden Cobra technique.

NEXT: Segment 2 - The Right Triangle

All the "Secrets" apps are available in native left-handed and right-handed versions, using PATTCAST's patent-pending international symbol chart animation patterns.

What's New (version 1.5):
- e-Commerce functionality within app, to support purchase of kits for this yarn-crafting pattern through the "KITS" button
