App Description
Fantasy Golf is a new concept scoring method that can be used whilst playing a round of golf, to increase the fun, even out the competition between players of varying skill levels and award players for good shots without just focusing on the amount of strokes played.
Players are awarded points for accomplishments such as fairway hits, green in regulations, good putting and the number of strokes played, whilst being penalized for bunker hits, lost balls and poor putting. The scoring methodology has been long thought out and tested to ensure its simplicity, whilst weighting the points correctly to appropriately score a player on each hole. It is also Stableford in nature, such that a player who has a terrible hole with a large number of strokes can do so without taking a huge hit on the scoreboard, keeping the game more even right to the last hole. We here at Fantasy Golf believe we have gotten it just right for par 3's, 4's and 5's.
For added enjoyment the app includes a live score page with symbols next to each player to symbolize what form they are currently in, for example find yourself spending too much time in the sand and you’ll get the shovel! A live chart can be viewed to clearly show how each player has performed on each hole to reach their current score. The chart really can't be beat when watching a number of lead changes or a player making a heroic comeback. Live statistics can also be viewed for each player, and with the simple and fast method of entering scores at the end of each hole, the user will gain a large number of statistics without even realizing.
