DIRECTIONS
1. Remove any case from your device (thin cases may be left on) and warm your hands if they are cold.

2. Place the tip of your finger over the rear camera lens and light. Do not press too hard against the camera lens.

3. Remain steady and hold the position until the measurement is complete.

HOW IT WORKS
Each time your heart beats, blood flows into the tip of your finger. When your finger is full of blood, light is blocked from passing through the finger. When the blood flows back out of your finger, light is allowed to pass through. The camera measures the amount of light absorbed by your finger to acquire a photoplethysmographic (PPG) signal. Using the PPG signal, the heart rate is calculated.
