App Description

Transpod is a single podcast player which pays attention to a transcript. Transcript is very useful for improving listening skills when you learn English as a Second Language. You will find a set of recommended podcasts with transcripts. These are news and stories from different areas updated frequently, English and American.

If a podcast from the recommended list doesn't have built-in transcript you can quickly extract it from corresponding site using built-in browser and convenient automatic extractor. See menu Actions > Find Transcript. Then open web page in the built-in browser with the article and tap button Copy.

The recommended list of podcasts contains the following podcasts where transcript are available:

- PBS NewsHour Arts
- PBS NewsHour Science
- PBS NewsHour Health
- PBS NewsHour Supreme Court

You can also find and add any other podcast.

There is also built-in translator to translate any word or phrase from the transcript into any language and two trainings to memorize unknown words. Long tap a word to translate.
