The Franklin House Tavern & Restaurant, located on the square in Schaefferstown, PA, offers a variety of dining options to suit your tastes, whether you prefer the casual atmosphere of our Tavern, the more traditional ambiance in one of our four dining rooms, or even the unique outdoor experience of The Balcony. Established in 1746, The Franklin House has undergone a series of notable transformations and name changes through the centuries, but the original walls remain, proving that this is “where history and superb casual dining come together.”Our seasonal Tavern and Dining Room lunch and dinner menus take advantage of fresh ingredients and feature everything from starters, soups, salads and sandwiches to entrées of beef, chicken, pork, pasta, fresh fish and seafood, with most items available for take-out. Happy Hour Monday-Friday 4-6PM and meal specials in both the Tavern and Dining Rooms Monday-Thursday 4-9PM. Sunday Brunch served 11AM-2PM. Our Dining Rooms accommodate 8-50 guests for your banquet, business meeting or private party. Special events include our epic Murder Mystery Dinners.
