Safety SHOT (Safe Hunter On Track)

SHOT is a tool being provided as part of Project ZERO: An initiative promoted by AmmoCamo that is shooting for ZERO fatalities in your state and combined as a national project. SHOT is an important tool to aid in safe hunting both on private land and public land by showing “Real Time” locations, distance, and status of other SHOT App users. In addition to helping save lives, the app also demonstrates and influences our personal responsibility, “as a group of outdoors men/women”, to strengthen our 2nd Amendment and implementing a higher level of Firearm safety.

Hunter Location: provides every hunter with his/her location and the location of other hunters in your area using the app.

Live time viewer: SHOT gives the distance and direction of other hunters in your area. The cone of direction is segmented into three parts: Green is 1000 yards to 500 yards, Yellow is 500 yards down to 300 yards, and Red is 300 yards to 0 yards.
Hunter status: provides you with hunter status information according to the type and method of hunting.

Emergency Alert: sends a message, with your last location, to your choice of family member to receive in the event you have an emergency.
Regulations links: provides you with all state regulation links for the areas you are hunting.

Safety Tips: gives you useful information in the form of safety tips to keep you more aware of your “in field activity” and to use the safety education you were provided to hunt.

Incident Awareness: SHOT provides incident reports we receive from app customers to keep each hunter more aware of what’s happening in your area and other states. (make sure the incident is not already documented in the list before submitting an incident description.)

SAFETY MESSAGE – Treat all firearms as loaded.
SAFETY MESSAGE- Be sure of your target and what’s beyond your target.
SAFETY MESSAGE- Keep your finger outside the trigger guard until ready to shoot
SAFETY MESSAGE- Be sure to wear proper coverage of safety orange.
SAFETY MESSAGE- Be sure to check all of your gear for defects and worn parts.
SAFETY MESSAGE- Always keep muzzle pointed in safe direction.
SAFETY MESSAGE- Always properly store firearms safely after your hunt.
SAFETY MESSAGE- Be observant of your surroundings and the people you hunt with. Don’t assume others are safety conscious and use “sportsman like” conduct when approaching fellow hunters about safety.

Safety Shot is a useful tool for all hunters. Some of the features of the app require a data and cellular connection. Safety Shot provides an added safety observation to every hunt, it does NOT take the place of hunter common sense, your own personal responsibility and observation, and safety education. Safety Shot does not guarantee every hunter uses this tool and is NOT responsible for any miss understandings of any hunter nor any person using the app for any other reason.
Safety Shot encourages every hunter to pay attention to their location, position of others, and provides information on regulations and much more to influence safety awareness. Safety Shot is part of a national campaign. Project ZERO is shooting for ZERO fatalities not only in hunting but in ALL firearm activities. If you are a hunter, sport shooter, or own a firearm for your own protection, we encourage you to learn everything about your firearm, understand all safety aspects, maintain a high level of personal responsibility, and practice safe handling, safe uses in the field, and safe storage procedures in your home. Safety Shot is not intended nor should be used for navigation purposes. All data presented by this application should be independently verified.
