Unique and fun banana testing app (can also be used on humans). NOTE: This app is intended for entertainment purposes only and cannot be relied upon to determine the ripeness of a banana.
At Stratospherix Labs, our boffins are always thinking of new and innovative ways to use the iPhone.
One day at lunch while munching on some bananas they wondered if the amazing iPhone could help them decide if their bananas were too hard, too soft or just right.
The result is an App Store first! - Banometer - an app which uses sound waves from the iPhone’s speaker to test the ripeness of a humble banana.
Does it work? Well, banometry (the scientific measurement of bananas) is a new field of study but we are confident that you won’t find a better or more accurate banana ripeness detecting app on the App Store!

Please note: No bananas were harmed in the making of this app… Afterwards they were all eaten though.
To use Banometer, just hold your iPhone snugly against your banana and press the blue button. Use the onscreen indicator to help get a good contact. Setting the right volume level so the slider is in the center will improve the accuracy. Also removing your iPhone from its case will help.
