App Description

Positano Trekking is the first touristic application completely dedicated to natural hiking paths of Amalfitan Coast and the Sorrento Peninsula.
The maps and the informations have been realized, paying special attention to the smallest detail by one of the most experienced cartographers of the Town of Positano, Antonino Buonocore (Designer and Technician).
The application, (available in Italian and English), is able to serve as a powerful tool of navigation in the natural paths also through off-line use.

The app initially shows a list of paths.
The choice of itinerary from the list leads to a screen with details about the path and alternative selections for various actions: Photo Gallery, descriptions, list of POIs, data related to the length of the path, level of difficulty, average duration, altitude graph. Navigation services to the start of the path. (Google/Apple Maps on line mode)

Positano Trekking also has a fundamental function for the safety of the hikers. If your device is on-line, through the App you can send an emergency signal with the coordinates of the actual point and the two closest checkpoints; the signal can be sent via SMS and E-Mail to a pre-arranged number or e-mail address. Moreover, the presence of a specific button provides quick access to emergency numbers, 118 and 1515.

Continued use of GPS running in the background can dramatically decrease battery life.
