Emberwing: Lost Legacy HD - A Hidden Object Adventure with Dragons 9+

The game said I played for 30 hours! That’s a lot of game play for $6.99. Of course if you download it and pay later it’s only $2.99. Search for Emberwing on the App Store as there are two versions of the same game. Graphics are great but it’s tough to get around - I find myself hitting the hint button all the time for the first half of the game. It’s a bit tiresome as I can’t see how this game plot worked for the first half of the game. The second half was better. You have a kid and a dragon helping you at the end, which was very fun, especially to see how the pet dragon is used. Not too much magic, although the potions and the altars are a bit much. Most of the dragons and elves are good looking and well drawn. You get your money’s worth for game play for sure!

Fabulous game, BoomZap and BigFish. It had great elements, including a dragon story which we haven't had tons of games about. The graphics were gorgeous and the cut-scenes totally fabulous. Items were labeled and you had a teleport map with marked tasks. The HO scenes were so different that I felt like I was doing puzzles instead of boring regular hidden object lists. There were tons of puzzles/mini-games! The game was quite long and had a bonus chapter. You were given objectives to complete one at a time. Loved it!
So why didn't I rate it 5 stars? First of all, it was a bit glitchy, leading me to think I wasn't using the correct item when I needed to! That drove me a bit crazy. Also the map would say there were tasks in an area when there weren't! Also, a journal would have helped!
But, NO RATS and all-in-all, a very good gaming experience! BigFish, keep the hits coming and please can we have another Empress?

Using: iPad Air. iOS 8.2. 64 GB memory. NO problems with loading, getting kicked out of the game, abrupt restarts, loss of game advancement, etc.. Smooth as butter!

This was undoubtedly one of the best Adventure/HO game I have played in a Long long time. Good plot that kept game interest high, appropriate music, beautiful graphics, No game-bugs, good voice-overs, interesting HO modifications, great mix of puzzles and HO's (and Adventure: Many games have no plot, and are too heavy on HO's or puzzles), great hint button with transport feature, etc.. So why did I give it only 4 stars? The Bonus round (no indication that it was the bonus round) seemed hastily put together, wit almost no plot, and puzzle after puzzle after puzzle....... Boring! Exactly the opposite of the main game. Love ya Boom-Zap, but your bonus section nearly ruined the hard work you put into the main game! I will definitely but the next game in the series, but please don't disappoint with a hastily put together Bonus ending!
