App Description
The British & Irish Live Energy app displays near real-time electrical information for both Britain and Ireland.
Electrical information includes System Demand, System Frequency, Wind Generation, CO2 Emissions (Ireland), Combined Cycle Gas Turbines Supply (Britain), Coal Plants Supply (Britain) and Nuclear Plants Supply (Britain).
Interconnector Information includes France - Great Britain Interconnector, Netherlands - Great Britain Interconnector, East - West Interconnector and N. Ireland - Great Britain Interconnector.
The British & Irish Live Energy app also supports maps showing the locations of Wind Turbines, Coal Plants, Hydro Power, Gas Turbines and Nuclear Plants both in Britain and Ireland. Where possible, Wind Turbines, Coal Plants, Hydro Power, Gas Turbines and Nuclear Plants should all have names.
However where the power source location provider have omitted names for power sources I have adopted a generic naming convention. Where a Wind Turbine/Farm has not been given it's proper location name, this Wind Turbine will simply be known as Wind Turbine. This naming convention has also been adopted for all other power sources.
Power Source Location Omissions: When developing the British & Irish Live Energy app, the power source locations were acquired from the public domain. While ever effort has been made to ensure the app represents power source locations accurately where possible.
There is however no guarantee that all power sources are represented within this app and omissions may be included in a later release of this software. The British & Irish Live Energy supports over 4000 power source locations within it's database.
