The 6th Asian Oncology Summit, brought to you by The Lancet Oncology, the OOTR, and Elsevier, aims to inform clinical practice and to optimize and improve patient management in Asia by bringing together many regional and internationally renowned experts. The 2014 programme includes a number of parallel sessions, each dedicated to a different oncology specialty. In addition, the Summit includes various plenary lectures, along with oral and poster presentations of the latest clinical and translational research in Asia. To complement the clinical sessions, the OOTR will lead sessions on translational oncology, novel technologies, and new therapeutic targets. Finally, the 2014 Summit will see the launch of The Lancet Oncologys third Commissionwhich focuses on cancer control in China, India, and Russiaand a Series of papers to be featured in The Lancet Oncology on the burden of cancer in India.
