App Description

Welcome to Mr Thorne's Comprehension Sentence Level.

This reading app from Mr Thorne is the 16th educational app since the hugely successful Mr Thorne Doe Phonics apps.

This app has been created by a current UK primary teacher, and so its value and usefulness is extremely high. Mr Thorne's Reading Challenge is designed to give children, parents and teachers an indication of reading ability at sentence level. There are over 800 simple, compound and complex sentences that will change each time you take the challenge. Future updates will also add more questions to the app.

Missing words can be determined using comprehension skills to read the sentence, understand the sentence and select the word that best fits the sentence.

As a guide:
Easy is for ages 7 and up.
Medium is for ages 11 and up.
Hard is for ages 13 and up.

However, every child is different and you will find that there are elements of each difficulty that will match the ability of the user.

As the user completes the reading challenge, they will build their score total to earn prestigious rewards ranging from Paper Class to Ruby Class to Triple Crown Class.
