App Description

Listen In lets you remotely monitor the sound in another location using the local WiFi network. Listen to the audio, and record the sound if you like.

The same app works as the microphone (transmitter), or the monitor(receiver). Just select the mode from the main screen.

To use Listen In, start the app on two devices:

* Select Transmit mode on one

* Select Listen mode on the other

Then tap the Connect button on the listener, and choose the other device. You will hear the audio immediately.

You can turn up the listening volume by using the Volume Booster slider.

Make sure both devices are on the same WiFi network.

You can turn off the screen on the microphone (transmitter) and the sound will continue to be sent to the listener.

** Recording **

You can record the audio, pausing and continuing as you need to. The recordings are saved in different files, and can be emailed if you have email set up on the listening device, or can be transferred using iTunes file sharing or by Dropbox.

If you link the app to your Dropbox account, recordings will automatically be transferred to your Dropbox when they are saved. If you don't have internet connectivity, they will transfer over when you do get connected.

** Sound Quality **

Listen In transmits audio at CD quality 44100 Hz sample rate and 16-bit definition for the highest possible sound quality. You can use it to make archival quality recordings.

** Pro Audio Apps **

See how we've applied this technology to our professional acoustic analysis apps, AudioTools and AudioTools Wireless, to allow remote audio test and measurement.
