App Description

The official application of the Paris exhibition.

The lasting success of the house of Cartier, founded in 1847, can be credited not only to virtuoso skills that soon forged a recognizable style, but also to the firm’s ability to adapt its creativity to the tastes and needs of a clientele cultivated over several decades.

Dubbed “king of jewelers, jeweler to kings” by King Edward VII of Great Britain, Cartier became the official supplier to many royal and imperial courts. And as the embodiment of refined, French-style luxury, it also appealed to leading figures from high society and the worlds of art and show business.

This application traces Cartier’s extraordinary history through a presentation of some of its most striking clients, ranging from Empress Eugénie, Marie Bonaparte, the British royal family, the maharajas of Patiala, and the Duchess of Windsor to Daisy Fellowes, Gloria Swanson, Princess Grace of Monaco, María Félix, and Elizabeth Taylor.

-6 important periods of the history of the house Cartier
illustrated with many archives documents,
-14 personalities,
-81 illustrations HD among them
-41 emblematics jewels et objets,
