ACCESSIBILITY STATEMENT

This app has been designed for people with mild-moderate vision impairment, key features being alternative colour schemes, a high level of zoom, and a large font option.

Considerations have also been made for motor impairments, with large well spaced buttons, and the option to use zoom buttons instead of pinch/zoom.
The interface is simple, settings have visual previews, copy is clearly styled and as jargon-free as possible, and the choice of interface colours can be beneficial for irlen-related dyslexia.

Sound is not used to communicate any information, meaning no barriers are present for people with impaired hearing.

The app was designed for TFL’s ‘accessible transport app’ contest, and has been designed in accordance with the accessibility guidelines of the contest, produced by OneVoice ICT.

-- Accessibility testing --

Testing has been carried out with people with a range of vision impairments, including colourblindness and cataracts.

-- Known accessibility issues --

This app is not currently screenreader accessible. This is due to the code framework it is built upon (Corona) not supporting screenreader accessibility. Although the app is specifically for people with a moderate degree of vision, we are aware that some people with enough vision to find the app useful still do use screenreaders, so we would like to support them.
